Hi there and Happy World Photography Day 2024! Here’s a write up for the occasion. The quote above is one of my favourites on photography, which I’m deeply passionate about.

Evening sky at Corniche, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates…

My love story with the camera began at the age of six when my parents handed me over their first camera and ever since, I’ve been capturing all the moments I’d like to cherish eternally as I know they’ll never return back.

Photography as a medium has helped me with self-discovery and introspection along with cultivating in me the habit of appreciating beauty and charm of the world around us. Though my photography skills have evolved over the years, I’m still far from perfection. The globetrotter in me won’t stop hunting for fascinating hidden gems so I could click those shots and share them with you all!

Louvre Musuem, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates…

Photography is more than just a word to me, its a way of encapsulating and forever preserving memories I wish to hold onto lifelong. Isn’t life all about carving out an identity of your own by following the path your heart desires, putting in integral efforts so you’re not forgotten for generations to come and a reminiscence of past experiences?

At heart, I’m still a little girl constantly yearning to traverse to faraway lands and discover mystical valleys & rainforests, breathtaking waterfalls & views, hisotrical sites not on the world map, snow capped mountains, unheard-of islands in the middle of sparkling deep blue waters, enchanting castles & kingdoms, pristine caves leading to yet another magical site towards the end..yeah, the list could go on longer for sure.😊

Uttarakhand, India…

Having multiple snaps in my archives from the past eleven years, I don’t feel like any of them is the best and can’t choose one to represent myself as there’s ALWAYS scope for improvement and learning.

I might not have indepth knowledge on the technical aspects of how cameras are designed, but its just an intriguing curiosity which drives me to attempt getting the perfect shot of what’s in front of me each time.

According to me, photography too is in art- a way to express yourself. It requires patience in awaiting the picture-perfect moment in order to lock the click we aimed for, open mindedness to grasp new techniques and perseverence in order to be recognized in your field, something which I’m working on!

Accessory shopping @ the Great Indian Flea, Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, India…

To me this art is a superpower. It not only delights me and brings joy to my heart, but also allows me to virtually take both unknown and known people as my co-passengers on the journeys I embark on. And, in this massive ocean called the internet, here’s my own little territory where I jot down my thoughts and communicate through my pictures.

Jebel Hafit, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE…

Memories truly last a lifetime, don’t they?
